Treetop provides a unique perspective on social connectivity by allowing users to efficiently manage and share travel updates. This application facilitates city-level notifications, enabling users to inform selected groups or contacts about their arrival in a specific location, without disclosing precise GPS coordinates.

Travel detection is accomplished through the device's motion sensors, accurately identifying modes of transport such as cars, trains, and airplanes while maintaining user privacy. Rather than tracking real-time locations, Treetop operates using motion data to help users share information about their travel experiences, notifying them post-arrival to submit customizable updates that may include text and emojis. Users can also pre-schedule these updates to streamline communication.
